Announcing our next Writer in Residence, Kimmy Beach

Writers of poetry, fiction, nonfiction, memoir, fantasy…! We are pleased to announce our next Writer in Residence, Kimmy Beach, is coming to the Airdrie Public Library this November.

Writer in Residence, Kimmy Beach will read up to 10 pages of your work and sit with you for 50 minutes to talk about your writing. What do you do well as a writer? What needs a bit more attention? What questions do you have about your work? What will she uncover that perhaps you don’t know yet about yourself?  Don’t miss out on this important opportunity to talk about your writing with an award-winning writer and 10-year freelance editor whose work has been featured on The Next Chapter with Shelagh Rogers (CBC). She has also worked with various publishing presses. This is an opportunity not to be missed!

Registration for manuscript consultation opens online Oct. 15

Kimmy Beach will also be offering 4 sessions exploring the world of writing and editing throughout the month of November. Stay tuned for more information and registration coming October 15.

Kimmy Beach (she/her) has taught and mentored across Canada and on the Greek island of Crete. Her sixth book was shortlisted for the Georges Bugnet Fiction Award, and her seventh is looking for a publishing home. Cool stuff she’s done includes launching her Paul McCartney book onstage at the Cavern Club in Liverpool, UK, and playing glow-in-the-dark mini-golf in Vegas with her siblings and their mom. She lives in Red Deer with her husband and their fabulous backyard gazebo.
