By and by we come to a dell*,
And there the roads are not so swell*l,
A *bumpy road, a *bumpy road,
A *bumpy road to London town.
(Bounce more vigorously)
(Repeat, this time with *wood and *good and a *rough road)

Bumpin’ up and down in my little red wagon,
Bumpin’ up and down in my little red wagon.
Bumpin’ up and down in my little red wagon,
Won’t you be my darling?

One wheel’s off and the axle’s broken,
One wheel’s off and the axle’s broken.
One wheel’s off and the axle’s broken,
Won’t you be my darling?
