Computers, iPads & Wi-Fi

Public Access Computers
Computer use is free; please get a barcode at the information desk to sign in to the children’s computers. Adult and teen computers can be signed in without a barcode. All PCs are unfiltered.

  • 20 PCs for adult and teen use
  • 1 iMac multimedia station
  • 5 PCs for children 12 and under
  • 2 preschool literacy computers
  • 1 Tablet with early literacy games
  • 1 adaptive technology station to assist those with physical or visual disabilities
  • 3 library search stations

Wi-Fi

  • Wireless use is free; membership is not required.

iPads @ APL!

Come into the library and borrow an iPad for in-library use. Get comfortable and access our wireless service!

  • The iPads are for in-library use only by library members with a valid Airdrie Public Library card
  • iPads will only be available when not in use by APL library staff
  • Youth under 13 must have a parent’s signature to check out an iPad

APL provides the community access to two highend computers designed for gaming with STEAM and a variety of popular multiplayer games. 

Video Games

Airdrie Public Library has video games that you can borrow! Over 2000 games are available to borrow for xBox One, Xbox 360, Nintendo Switch, 3DS, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and Wii U! Search for "video game" in TRACpac or stop by the library to see what's available today! 

A maximum of 3 games can be checked out at a time per card.

Record your own podcast, music or just play around in our sound booth.

Multimedia Station

The Airdrie Public Library has a Multimedia Station. Our iMac is specifically devoted to multimedia!  Available programs include Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Audition, and Premiere Pro.  Come in and create your multimedia masterpiece!
