Food for Fines

The Airdrie Public Library will be running a Food for Fines Campaign to help support the Airdrie Food Bank at the library from Sunday November 12 to Sunday November 19, 2023.

For every non-expired, non-perishable, unopened commercially made food item donated during the campaign, $3 in library fines will be waived from your account.

How does it work?

  • Visit the Public Service desk at the library with your donation of non-perishable, unopened, not expired, commercially made food items
  • We will waive $3 off your account in fines* for every item you donate
  • Feel free to donate items even if you don’t have fines to pay!

All items collected will be donated to the Airdrie Food Bank.

*Note:  Food for Fines may only be used for overdue fines and cannot be used for lost or damaged charges or to add credit to accounts.
