Airdrie Public Library is pleased to announce the re-opening of its main library facility for Monday, July 6.
Open hours will be 9 a.m. – 8 p.m., Monday to Friday, with the first hour (9 – 10 a.m.)
Monday to Friday reserved for seniors and other vulnerable patrons.
The Library will also be open on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Due to safety considerations, the number of patrons allowed in the building at one time will be limited to 70. To help us serve as many as possible, all visitors are asked to restrict their library visit to 30 minutes. Computers will be available for thirty-minute bookings and must be reserved online or by request at the customer service desk (403-948-0600).
Strict sanitation protocols have been implemented, including a 72-hour quarantine period for returned library material. APL continues to offer a wide range of digital content and online programming accessible through our website at www.airdriepubliclibrary.ca
We are thrilled to be welcoming the public back to the Library but ask for everyone’s co-operation in staying home when they are sick and in following our pandemic safety rules when in the library.
Fines on overdue material will be waved until July 31, 2020.
Until July 10, 2020, all items on loan and newly borrowed will have a due date of July 31, 2020.
All returned library material will be quarantined for seventy-two hours.
When the facility first re-opens, individual visits will be limited to a maximum thirty minutes. We will follow Alberta Health instructions on the number of visitors permitted to be in the library at the same time.
Interlibrary loan remains suspended in Alberta until further notice.
