Join Albert Goulet and Mahegun Tails Inc as they lead a talk about the importance of drumming to Indigenous peoples and teach singing and drumming basics to participants. 

 

 

Albert Goulet:

Albert is a direct descendent of the Cree Chief Big Bear, and a line of influential chiefs and medicine people. He has established himself as an accomplished dancer and singer. Winning many dancing and singing Pow-wow competitions across Canada and the US. Albert has travelled internationally to perform in different countries with performing groups. He is an accomplished Indigenous craftsman, making one of the kind beadwork, traditional clothing, and quill work, that have been sold across Canada & US.

He is a teacher of Indigenous singing, dancing , and crafts, teaching to young people in his travels. He is now one of the lead singers for a 3 Time World Champion group, called Midnite Express. Also holds rights and privileges to sing ceremonial songs for Cree and Blackfoot Elders in the Calgary Community.
