TD Summer Reading Club

The Natural World @ AirdriePublicLibrary

Get ready for an incredible summer of reading, activities, games, and prizes with the TD Summer Reading Club- Canada’s biggest summer reading program for kids from 4-12!

This 100% FREE program celebrates the Natural World and is designed to inspire kids to explore the fun of reading. Developed and delivered by over 2,000 public libraries across Canada, this flexible program can be a part of everyone’s summer plans.

When is the Summer Reading Club?

The SRC runs from Tuesday to Friday, July 2 to August 16.

How can my child participate?

There are three ways to participate.

Registered Participants:

Registered participants commit to a weekly program. Be sure to pick up your reading package after you have signed up online! Registering ensures your child has a space in the program for the entire summer, so we ask that if your child is unable to make a session you let the library know in advance, as soon as possible.

Casual Participants:

Don’t want to commit to attending weekly programs, but still want to join in occasionally? Sign up as a Casual Participant. You’ll come into the library after singing up top get your Reading Package and then come in whenever there is space and it’s convenient for you! Casual Participants will be allowed to join in as long as the session is not full.

Read-on-your-Own Participants:

Are you heading out of town for the Summer? Are you busy with other activities? Still want to track your reading and win great prizes?! No problem! Register as a “Read-on-your-Own” participant and then pick up your reading package at the library.

How can I sign up?

Sign up begins online and in the library on June 15 with Get Your Summer Read On Day. This event goes from 10 am to 3 pm and parents can come with their children at any point during this time to register. You can sign up as a Registered, Casual, and Read-on-your-Own Participant. Note: Registered and casual participants require a valid, FREE APL card, but Read On Your Own participants do not. Once the registration date of June 15 has arrived simply click the register button below the type of participant that you wish to register your child as.
