Are you between the ages of 13 and 17? Are you looking to make a difference, gain volunteer experience, and have fun? Share your love of reading and meet new friends: apply to become a volunteer mentor in the Reading Buddies program.
Reading Buddies is a program that matches teen mentors with “buddies” in Grades 2-4 for one-on-one mentorship to improve literacy and encourage reading! Volunteers will receive a certificate upon completion.
Dates & Time
*Volunteer Orientation: Thursday, March 5th, 2020
Time: 4:00 to 5:00
RB Program: Thursdays; March 12th to April 9th, 2020
Time: 4:00 pm - 5:20 pm
The Teen Advisory Council meets once a month at the library’s fireplace. TAC members hang out, help to plan programs, promote teen reading, grow the YA collection and create a great environment for teens at the library! Teens involved will earn volunteer hours and build practical skills. TAC involvement looks great on resumes, post secondary and scholarship applications.
