Airdrie Public Library, in partnership with North Rocky View Community Links, is proud to offer a selection of preschool literacy programs. 

Fall sessions:

Session 1: September 11-October 20 (no sessions on October 9th);

Session 2: November 6-December 15

Fall Program Registration: Session 1: August 22, 2017, Session 2: October 24, 2017 

Registered Programs 

*All Registered Programs require a valid APL card. Register online.

Babytime: Mondays—11:30 a.m.; Tuesdays—11:30 a.m. Designed for children under 12 months. This is an oral program shared by caregiver and baby using rhymes, actions, songs, and board books.

Toddlertime: Mondays—9:30 and 10:30 a.m.; Tuesdays—9:30 and 10:30 a.m. Designed for preschoolers aged 1-3 who need to move and actively participate. This program focuses on simple action songs, finger plays, props, and short stories.

Storytime: Fridays—11:00 a.m. Designed for children aged 3-5, who are ready to sit for longer stories and rhymes. This transitional program, shared by caregiver and child, combines listening and active participation.

Creative Hands and Minds: Fridays—9:15 a.m. Designed for children aged 3-5. This program features stories, rhymes and a craft for children and their caregivers to share.  

RSVP Programs

*RSVP Programs need to reserve a spot, but no library card required!

Sensory Storytime: Mondays: 1:00 p.m. Designed for children aged 3-10 with Autism and other developmental differences. This program is an interactive experience featuring songs, rhymes, and stories for children and their caregivers.

Wiggle Wednesday: Second Wednesday of every month—9:15 a.m. In partnership with Ambition Performing Arts, and designed for children aged 2-5. This program combines storytime, movement, and dance.

Bedtime Storytime: Tuesdays—6:00 p.m. Children ages 4+ are welcome to drop-in with their favorite stuffy for an hour of stories and crafts! Dress in your pajamas! Pick up a ticket at the Information Desk.

1,2,3—Read with Me!: Saturdays—10:30 a.m. Every Saturday morning from September 9th-December 2nd, join us for an hour of singing rhymes, fingerplays, and stories for children aged birth to 5 (but all ages are welcome).
