Current Volunteer Opportunities!

We strive to make volunteering with Airdrie Public Library a rewarding experience and it is through our volunteers that we are able to strengthen and enhance our services. 

Preschool Programs:

**Teens 16+ & Adults Volunteers **

Creative Hands and Minds
Designed for children aged 3-5. This program features stories, rhymes and a craft for children and their caregivers to share.
Session 2- Registered
Dates: Tuesdays, from March 13th to April 10th (5 sessions)
Time: from 1:15 pm to 3:00 pm
Duties: Setup, assisting with craft, cleanup of craft

Please note that a current criminal record with vulnerable sector checks is required prior to volunteer placement.


**Teens 16+ & Adults Volunteers **

Airdrie Home & Lifestyle Show
APL is attending the Airdrie Home & Lifestyle show on Saturday, April 28th and Sunday, April 29th as a community outreach event to promote library services, materials and programs. 
We are looking for volunteer assistance to supplement our staff at this busy trade show. If you enjoy meeting and conversing with people you will enjoy this volunteer opportunity.
Shifts available are:
Sunday, April 29th 
·         9:30 am-12:00pm (1position)
·         2:30 pm to 4:30 pm (1position)
Our volunteers enhance and extend the level of service APL offers our community.

How to apply:

  • Fill out an application form  and bring it to the library or e-mail it to our Volunteer Coordinator Lucia Gomez.
  • The Volunteer Coordinator will contact you within a month of receipt of application to set up an interview.
  • Together you will complete a volunteer agreement and schedule.
